About

TradeMemory Protocol is an open-source MCP server (pip install tradememory-protocol) that keeps a journal of an agent's trades on your machine. The agent records a trade and its reasoning with remember_trade, records how it ended, and calls recall_memories before proposing the next one; the losses-first order surfaces the bigger losses in similar conditions ahead of the wins. A sync command imports closed trades from a venue (Hyperliquid by public address, no key), and it prints where your own history loses money: size-ups after losing streaks, hold times of winners against losers.

What it adds to Moby. Memory across sessions. A Moby agent sees your open positions and ledger, but not why it took each trade or what pattern of yours loses. TradeMemory keeps that, locally.

How to pair it. Have the agent call remember_trade after every Moby order with the reason it gave, record outcomes from get_my_closed_trades, and call recall_memories before each proposal. The weekly read of where your history loses pairs well with a Moby Guardrails review.

What it does not do. It does not place Moby orders and has no market data of its own. Its broker brake (the proxy extra) is a preview for Alpaca only and does not apply to Moby; its Alpaca and Binance sync scripts take exchange keys you do not need here, so skip them. Memory is a local file: back it up.

Install

Third-party code: Moby does not audit or control it. Read the source before you run it.

  1. pip install tradememory-protocol
  2. Claude Code: claude mcp add tradememory -- uvx tradememory-protocol
  3. Other clients: add a server with command uvx and args ["tradememory-protocol"].
  4. Skip tradememory sync alpaca and the proxy extra; they are for brokers, not Moby.
  5. Ask: *"After every Moby trade, record it with remember_trade and the reason you gave; before proposing a trade, call recall_memories losses-first and tell me what it shows."*
