Broad Market Agent: SPYx and QQQx Tokenized ETFs

SPYx is a tokenized version of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) and QQQx tracks the Invesco QQQ, both on Solana as xStocks. This starter strategy has your Moby Agent buy them in USDC within your limits. SPYx is not the SpyX app or the SPYX fossil-free ETF.

What SPYx and QQQx are

SPYx is a tokenized version of SPY (the S&P 500 ETF) on Solana, not the SPYX ETF.

SPYx and QQQx are tokenized ETFs, and they are tokenized stocks in the xStocks set. Each token tracks an ETF price. Buying it is not the same as holding that fund at a broker: you get price exposure, not voting rights. SPY, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, seeks to track the S&P 500 Index. QQQ, the Invesco QQQ Trust, aims to track the Nasdaq-100 Index. The extra x names the token. Match the mint on the tokenized stocks explained page before you buy, because a similar ticker can be a different asset.

Backed Assets (JE) Limited issues xStocks. Its SP500 xStock page says SPYx is a tracker certificate that tracks the price of SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY). Its Nasdaq xStock page says QQQx tracks the price of Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ). xStocks describes the tokens as backed 1:1 by the underlying. The xStocks FAQ calls each one a tracker certificate, held with regulated custodians, with no voting rights, and on Solana an SPL Token-2022 token. Kraken's SPYx page titles it "SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPYx) tokenized stock".

A Moby Agent buys the Solana token and pays in USDC. The secondary-market price is supply and demand, so it can sit away from the last SPY or QQQ print. Dividends on the underlying are reinvested into the token.

Not to be confused with

Only SPYx, with a lowercase x, is the tokenized ETF this strategy uses.

NameWhat it is
SpyXA phone monitoring app. This page is not about that app.
SPYXState Street's SPDR S&P 500 Fossil Fuel Reserves Free ETF, ticker SPYX on NYSE Arca. State Street lists it under that name. It is a different fund from SPY.
SPYThe SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, the fund whose price SPYx tracks.
SPYxThe xStocks tokenized ETF on Solana that tracks SPY.
QQQxThe xStocks tokenized ETF on Solana that tracks Invesco QQQ.

A search for "spyx" often shows the phone app, and "spyx stock" often shows the fossil fuel reserves free ETF.

How the agent trades them

This starter strategy has one Moby Agent buy SPYx and QQQx on Solana, paid in USDC, inside limits you set. An example is a small weekly buy split between the two tokenized ETFs, and the agent asks first. You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes. A range set for tiny tokens can block these ETF trackers.

This plan buys only SPYx and QQQx, both liquid xStocks tickers. Leave every other ticker out of the prompt. Read AI agent guardrails and agent wallet before the first buy. Agent trading on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain is coming soon. The Moby app supports Solana, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Base. Tokenized stocks in the app trade on Solana.

With Ask before every trade on, the agent names the token, the USDC amount and the quote, then waits. You can say no. Setup is on Moby Agents. How the agent sits next to trades you place yourself is agentic trading.

Starter prompt

Replace both dollar amounts with sizes inside your max per trade.

Every Friday, propose buying $X of SPYx and $X of QQQx and wait for my approval.

Two names means two swaps. If a buy would break a limit, Moby blocks that buy.

Risks

SPY and QQQ move with the market, and SPYx and QQQx are built to track those prices, so a falling market can lower the value of the tokens. A weekly schedule only spaces the buys. You can still lose money. For size and when to turn a tool off, see risk management for AI trading.

Tracking can slip, because the token is not the fund. xStocks can trade when the underlying market is closed. The xStocks FAQ says issuance and redemption follow market days, normally 24/5, while a secondary market sets its own hours. Off hours, the price can sit away from the last SPY or QQQ print, and the spread can be wider.

Small buys make the Moby fee a larger share of the order. A 0.75% swap fee (minimum $0.90 per swap), plus onchain fees. On a $10 swap, 0.75% is $0.075, so the $0.90 minimum is the fee. SPYx and QQQx on the same day are two swaps, so the minimum can apply twice.

Trading crypto and tokenized stocks is risky and you can lose money. Nothing on this page is investment advice.

This page stays on SPYx and QQQx. A tech tokenized stocks agent and an AI chip tokenized stocks agent cover narrower lists of tokenized stocks, as separate plans. Read tokenized gold, including GLDx, for a different tokenized asset. The Strategies hub lists published starter strategies, the Learn hub holds the explainers, and the Marketplace holds skills an agent can use.

One agent at a time. Each user gets one agent, so this plan is the one that agent runs, in place of another starter strategy.

Try it with a Moby Agent

Set up a Moby Agent with its own wallet and your spending guardrails, then connect it to the AI you use.

You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes.

Moby Agents trade Solana tokens, paid in USDC, including tokenized stocks.

Each user gets one agent, with its own wallet separate from your main in-app wallet. The agent cannot withdraw or send funds.

Connect it from Codex, Claude Code (CLI) or Grok. Claude Duet is a research preview. It uses the Moby connector you add in Claude. Moby has not tested trades on Duet yet.

How to set it up:

  1. Set your limits in the Moby app. Save max per trade, daily buy volume and a market-cap range that allows SPYx and QQQx before the first buy.
  2. Connect your agent. Connect it from Codex, Claude Code (CLI) or Grok. Claude Duet is a research preview.
  3. Paste the Friday prompt. Put your own dollar amounts in place of $X, and leave the wait for approval in the sentence.
  4. Approve or skip. The agent buys SPYx and QQQx in USDC on Solana only inside your limits. A no, or a blocked limit, means no buy.
