AI Agent Wallet: Give Your AI Its Own Wallet, With Limits You Set
Set up a Moby Agent with its own wallet and your spending guardrails, then connect it to the AI you use.
What is an agentic wallet?
An agentic wallet, or AI agent wallet, is a crypto wallet an AI agent trades from, kept separate from your main wallet and bound by limits you set. In Moby, your agent gets its own wallet, you fund it with USDC, and Moby checks your limits server-side on every buy your agent makes.
An agentic wallet is a wallet for software that can act on its own. The wallet holds the crypto, and the spending rules sit outside the agent. The same idea is called agentic wallets, an AI agent wallet, an AI agent crypto wallet, or an AI wallet. Developer platforms such as Coinbase CDP and Circle also offer agent wallets with spending limits. Those are for teams building software. Moby is the version you run from a phone app. For how an AI crypto trading bot is usually described, see the AI crypto trading bot guide.
Why your AI agent should have its own wallet
A separate wallet keeps the balance you trade yourself apart from the balance the agent trades.
- Separation. The agent trades from its own wallet, separate from your main in-app wallet. Your main balance stays where it is.
- Sizing. You decide how much the agent has by how much you fund it. What you do not send there stays out of the agent's trades.
- Limits. You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes.
- Visibility. The agent's trades sit in one wallet you can review.
- Off switch. Revoke its key in the Moby app (Agent tab, Connect). That key is how the agent reaches Moby. Revoke it and that connection stops.
A limit is a cap you choose. It does not make a loss impossible.
A side wallet alongside your main app
Keep the app you already trade on for your own trades, and make Moby the wallet your agent trades from. Agentic trading on Moby is the same idea: use it alongside the app you already trade on. A wallet for AI agents works best as a side wallet. The app you already like can stay the place you tap trades yourself.
You get one agent. That agent has one wallet, separate from your main in-app wallet. You fund it on purpose, and the agent's trades show up there.
How Moby's AI agent wallet works
Moby's AI crypto wallet is that agent wallet. You set limits and add funds in the app. Host commands stay on the host pages.
1. Download Moby and set up your Moby Agent.
Download Moby and create an account with email or import a wallet. The Moby Agent and its wallet are set up in the app.
2. Set your spending limits.
You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes. For a market-cap floor aimed at large coins, see majors-only guardrails. You still set that floor in the Moby app.
3. Fund the agent wallet with USDC.
Agent trades are paid in USDC. Add funds: Your Solana agent wallet deposit address. Send USDC to that address. The agent trades with the USDC in its own wallet.
4. Connect your AI.
Connect Codex, Claude Code (CLI only) or Grok. The connection runs through Moby MCP and the Model Context Protocol. Host steps are on the Codex, Claude Code and Grok pages, and on connect your agent. The key is a revocable Moby agent API key, not a wallet private key. Create it under Agent tab, Connect.
5. Watch and adjust from your phone.
Open the Moby app to review the agent wallet, change a limit, or add USDC. Starter strategies are plans the agent can run inside those limits. Limits, the key and funding stay in the app.
Skills, data and tools you can add later are in the Agent Marketplace. You still set every limit in the Moby app.
What your agent can trade from its wallet
Your agent can trade Solana tokens, including memecoins, majors and tokenized stocks, paid in USDC. Tokenized stocks on Solana include liquid xStocks tickers such as TSLAx. Your agent can trade Solana tokens, including tokenized gold.
Moby buys pump.fun coins before graduation, on the bonding curve, and after graduation. The agent trades Solana tokens, paid in USDC, inside the limits you set.
Agent trading on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain is coming soon. The Moby app itself supports Solana, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Base. The agent wallet trades Solana for now.
Spending limits for AI agents: what Moby checks
Moby checks these trading limits server-side, outside the agent's own code. They cover one buy, buying across a day, and the market-cap band. They are not a payments budget.
| Limit | What it does | Where you set it |
|---|---|---|
| Max per trade | Caps a single buy | Moby app |
| Daily buy volume | Caps total buys per day | Moby app |
| Market-cap range | Keeps buys inside a market-cap band you choose | Moby app |
You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes.
The agent has no withdraw, transfer or send tool. Moby refuses agent buys on tokens it rates red. That is already how the Moby app works. It is not a promise about price.
Set your limits in the app first
Trading wallet, not a payments wallet
Moby's agent wallet is for trading Solana tokens under your limits. It is not built for paying for APIs or for shopping. If you are looking up AI agent payments, this is a trading wallet: buys and sells of tokens, paid in USDC, inside the caps you set. It does not pay invoices or API calls.
Agent wallet risks
- Agent trades spend real money and cannot be undone. A buy spends funds in the agent wallet and cannot be undone.
- A token can go to zero. AI can be wrong. Limits reduce risk, but they do not remove it.
- Fund only what the agent may trade. Start small.
There are no guaranteed returns. This is not investment advice. The CFTC advisory on AI trading bots is a plain-language warning on automated trading. Before a buy, a rug check can read Moby risk signals on a Solana token.
Fees
A 0.75% swap fee (minimum $0.90 per swap), plus onchain fees. 10% of the Moby fee back in $MOBY on every swap, 20% after your first swap, up to 30% as you climb tiers.
Onchain fees are separate from the Moby fee. Cashback is paid in $MOBY.
FAQ
What is an AI wallet?
An AI wallet is a wallet an AI agent can use to hold and spend crypto. In Moby, your agent gets its own wallet, separate from your main in-app wallet, with limits you set. You fund that wallet, and the agent trades from it. Your main balance stays in the wallet you use yourself.
Why not let my AI agent use my main wallet?
An agent wallet stays separate, so you size it by funding it and you can review its trades in one place. You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes.
What currency does my AI agent trade with?
USDC. The agent trades Solana tokens, paid in USDC. Agent trading on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain is coming soon.
How do I set spending limits for my AI agent?
In the Moby app, on your phone. You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes. You can change a cap later from the same screen.
Which AI agents can use a Moby agent wallet?
Codex, Claude Code (CLI only) and Grok. Claude Code means the command-line interface. The key is a revocable Moby agent API key, not a wallet private key.
Does my agent replace my main trading app?
No. It is a side wallet alongside the app you already trade on. Agentic trading on Moby is the hub for that setup.
How do I turn off my agent?
Revoke its key in the Moby app: Agent tab, Connect. Revoking the key stops that connection.
