What is a Solana wallet tracker?

A Solana wallet tracker watches public Solana addresses and shows what they buy, sell and hold. Explorers like Solscan let you look up any wallet. Trading apps like Moby go further: you see what whales and KOLs are buying the moment it happens, then trade it or follow them with copy trading.

Copying is Solana-only. The Moby app also lets you trade tokens on Solana, Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain yourself. Whale and KOL tracking on this page is about Solana.

Every Solana wallet is a public account. The address is a public key. Anyone can read the balance, the token accounts and the transactions. Solana's docs on accounts describe that record: an address, a balance and data, with no legal name attached. A label on an explorer, or a post that names an address, is a hint. It is not proof of who holds the keys.

People also search track solana wallet, wallet tracker solana, solana wallet lookup, solana wallet checker and solana wallet analyzer. Open one wallet and read the balance, the tokens, the swaps and the transfers. You do not see a legal name or the next order. Never share your seed phrase or private key, and do not approve a transaction just to view public data.

Three kinds of Solana wallet trackers

A Solana wallet tracker is an explorer, an alert bot, or a trading app. If you are comparing where to trade, see the best Solana trading apps. A Solana trading bot sends orders from rules. A wallet tracker shows you wallets.

Block explorers

A block explorer looks up one wallet. You open the address and read balances, token accounts and history. Solscan is the usual solana wallet lookup: recent swaps, current holdings, and how busy the address is. It is a strong check for a wallet you already have.

Helius publishes a guide to exploring wallets with its Orb explorer, covering balances, tokens, funding and history. Explorers are the right tool for checking one wallet. A swap is tokens in and tokens out. A transfer or an airdrop can add a token the wallet did not buy, so read the action before you treat a line as a buy.

Alert bots and dashboards

Alert bots and dashboards watch a list you already saved. Telegram bots, Discord bots and web dashboards send a message when one of those wallets moves. Cielo is one example. What a given bot includes, and what it costs, is on that product's own site. The trade usually happens in a separate app. For a written comparison with one dashboard, see Moby vs GMGN.

Trading apps with smart money data

Whale Watch shows what top whales and KOLs are trading in real time. Key Holders shows which whales, traders and KOLs hold a token, and the Moby Smart Money read sums up what they're doing.

You see what whales and KOLs are buying the moment it happens, then you trade that token from the same screen on your phone. download Moby. Copying is Solana-only.

Tool Find wallets for you? Live activity Trade from it? Copy trading Best for
Block explorer You open a wallet you already have History when you open that wallet No No Checking one wallet
Alert bot or dashboard You save wallets you already chose A notice when a saved wallet moves You usually trade in another app Depends on the product A list you already built
Moby Whales, KOLs and top traders are shown in the app Whale Watch, plus your Following feed for wallets you follow Yes, from the same screen Solana tokens only Watching whales and KOLs, then trading

Use an explorer to check one wallet, an alert bot for a list you already built, and Moby when you want whale and KOL activity and a trade on the same phone. Many people check a wallet on Solscan, then watch the wallets Moby shows them.

How to track a Solana wallet (step by step)

The steps below use public data. The Moby path follows the list.

  1. Get a public address. Find it in a trader's public post, on a token's holder list, or on a leaderboard. Never share your seed phrase or private key. Reading a wallet uses the public address only.
  2. Check it on an explorer. Open the wallet on Solscan or another block explorer. Read recent swaps, holdings, and how often it trades.
  3. Judge the wallet. Look for a pattern over days, not one lucky trade. Bot-like wallets often trade hundreds of times a day. Before you buy a token a whale just bought, run a rug check.
  4. Watch it. Save the wallet in a tracker or an alert tool. In Moby, alerts are opt-in per wallet. Turn on alerts for any wallet you follow and get a push notification when it buys or sells.
  5. Act with your own limits. Choose your own size and your own cap. A buy you saw is information. On a fast memecoin the price can move between their fill and yours.

Smart money, whales and KOLs: who to track

A smart money tracker, a kol tracker and a solana whale tracker read the same public Solana ledger and point at different wallets. A crypto whale tracker that looks only at size mixes skilled wallets with wallets that are simply large.

Whale

A whale is a wallet with a large balance. That balance can belong to a fund, a market maker, or a person. Size alone is a weak reason to trade.

Smart money

Smart money means results, separate from size.

Leaderboards rank whales and KOLs by realized profit over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, with win rates.

Those figures are closed results for the wallets on the board. They are a way to compare wallets. They are not a forecast for your next trade, and they are not a rate of return for your account.

KOL

A KOL is a known public trader or influencer whose wallet is public. The post and the wallet can diverge. A KOL may sell into buys from people who acted on a post. Read the trades, and who still holds the token, before you size a position.

On Moby you see what whales and KOLs are buying the moment it happens. On new launches the gap between a post and a fill shows up quickly. See what is Pump.fun for how those coins begin. Moby can buy pump.fun coins before and after graduation.

From tracking to copy trading

Copy trading (rule-based following) is the step after watching. Copying is Solana-only. Set a fixed size per trade, cap the total you will have open, and decide whether sells are copied too. On fast memecoins, delay and slippage mean your fill can differ from the wallet you watched. Fees sit on top of that gap.

You set those rules yourself. The wider set of products is covered under crypto copy trading platforms. Solana copy trading on Moby stays on Solana tokens.

Let an AI agent watch wallets for you

One agent per user, with its own wallet. Connect that agent to Codex, Claude Code (CLI) or Grok.

A Moby Agent connected to Codex, Claude Code (CLI) or Grok can read Whale Watch, Key Holders and the Moby Smart Money read through the Moby MCP and trade Solana tokens, including tokenized stocks, paid in USDC, inside your guardrails.

You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes.

The Moby app is where you set limits and revoke the key. The product page is the Moby AI trading agent. AI Trading on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain is coming soon.

Does tracking whale wallets make money?

No. Tracking shows what other wallets already did. By the time you see a buy, the pool may have moved. A whale can be wrong, or can sell while other people are still buying. Delay, slippage and fees mean your result can differ from theirs even when you copy on Solana.

Leaderboard rankings are past realized profit for those wallets. They do not set your result. There is no promise of profit.

The CFTC has warned that claims of guaranteed returns from AI trading bots are a red flag. The same caution applies when the pitch is a whale wallet. Read the CFTC advisory on AI trading bots and guaranteed-return claims before you trust a promise. Public data is useful. It is not a forecast.

Fees

Moby is free to download. You pay when you swap. A 0.75% swap fee (minimum $0.90 per swap), plus onchain fees. 10% of the Moby fee back in $MOBY on every swap, 20% after your first swap, up to 30% as you climb tiers.

The Moby app trades Solana, Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain tokens. This page is about tracking Solana wallets. Copying is Solana-only. A Moby Agent trades Solana tokens, including tokenized stocks, paid in USDC. AI Trading on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain is coming soon.
