Solana Copy Trading: Follow Smart Money Wallets With Rules You Set
Copy trade wallets with simple rules you set. You choose the wallets and the rules.
What is Solana copy trading?
Solana copy trading means following a public Solana wallet so your own trades mirror its buys and sells. In Moby, you pick wallets from smart money data, set simple rules for how you follow them, and Moby follows those wallets for you. You choose the wallets and the rules.
Every Solana trade is public onchain, so any wallet can be followed. Solana docs describe how transactions are recorded, and anyone can open a wallet in Solana Explorer and read its buys and sells. A crypto copy trading bot automates that following. People also call that tool a copy trading bot. Moby does it inside the app on your phone, instead of in Telegram.
Copy trading is your first managed wallet
Copy trading is your first managed wallet on Moby.
Three ways to trade on Moby: trade yourself on smart money data, copy trade wallets with simple rules, or let your AI agent trade through Moby MCP. More on agentic trading.
Trade yourself means you place the order. The app trades tokens on Solana, Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain.
Copy trading is the first step from that hands-on trading to a wallet that runs on rules you set. Moby follows those wallets for you, and the following happens without you tapping each trade. Copy trading covers Solana tokens only.
An AI trading agent is the next step. It trades Solana only, with your USDC, from its own wallet, separate from your main in-app wallet. You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes. AI Trading on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain is coming soon.
How to copy trade crypto wallets on Moby
A copy trade bot is this same job with the rules written down in advance.
1. Download Moby and fund your account.
Download Moby on iOS or Android. The crypto copy trading app is the Moby app. Create an account with email, or import a wallet. Deposit USDC or SOL.
2. Find wallets worth copying.
Follow any wallet you find in Moby (whales, KOLs, top traders, or a token's key holders) and see its trades in your Following feed. Whale Watch shows what top whales and KOLs are trading in real time. Key Holders shows which tracked wallets are in a token right now, who is adding, and who is leaving. Leaderboards rank whales and KOLs by realized profit over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days, with win rates. Treat it as a Solana wallet tracker.
3. Set your copy rules.
You choose the wallets and the rules. Set those rules in the app before following starts. Moby follows those wallets for you by the rules you set. The rules are how you decide the way a copied trade is allowed to run.
4. Turn it on and watch from your phone.
Turn on alerts for any wallet you follow and get a push notification when it buys or sells. Copy trading runs in the mobile app, where you can watch the Following feed.
5. Review and adjust.
Come back and review the wallets you follow and the rules you set. Drop a wallet that no longer fits how you want to trade, follow a different one, and change the rules you already set.
What you can copy trade
Copy trading covers Solana tokens only. Memecoins are the main case, and majors that trade as Solana tokens are in that same set. Trades you place yourself can also be tokens on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain.
Memecoin copy trading
Memecoin copy trading is the main use case. Pump.fun coins are Solana memecoins. The Moby app can buy pump.fun coins before graduation, on the bonding curve, and after graduation, on PumpSwap. Read what is pump.fun for how a coin moves from the curve to PumpSwap.
Copy trading risks and how rules help
These are the ordinary risks, and they are why the rules come first.
- You always trade after the wallet you copy, so your price can be worse. Late fills and slippage are part of copy trading, not a rare error.
- A wallet that knows it is copied can sell into the people following it.
- One big win is not a track record. Judge a wallet on many trades, over weeks, including how it exits and whether it holds or only flips.
- Thin liquidity tokens move against you. A small pool cannot fill your copy at the price the wallet you follow received.
- Rules are the practical answer. You choose the wallets and the rules, and Moby follows those wallets for you inside those rules. Before you trust a token a followed wallet bought, check it with a rug check.
Crypto is risky and you can lose what you trade. Copying a wallet does not copy its results. Past performance does not predict future results.
The CFTC customer advisory, AI Won't Turn Trading Bots into Money Machines, is a plain warning against anyone selling a bot as income.
Set your rules first, then pick a wallet. You do both in the Moby app.
Copy trading vs trading yourself vs an AI agent
One agent per user. The agent trades Solana only, paid in USDC. This table is the short version of the three ways to trade.
| Trade yourself | Copy trading | AI agent | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who decides each trade | You place each trade. | You set the rules once. Moby follows the wallets you chose. | Your agent places each trade inside limits you set. |
| What you set | The order you want, each time. | The wallets you follow, and the rules for how you follow them. | Limits in the Moby app. The agent trades inside them. |
| Chains | Solana, Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain tokens. | Solana tokens only. | Solana only, paid in USDC. AI Trading on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain is coming soon. |
| Wallet | The wallet you fund in the Moby app. | Moby follows the wallets you pick, by the rules you set. | Its own wallet, separate from your main in-app wallet. |
| Limits | You decide each trade. | Rules you set before following starts. | You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes. |
The agent connects through Moby MCP. Hosts are Codex, Claude Code (CLI) and Grok. The agent trades Solana tokens, including memes, majors and tokenized stocks, with your USDC.
Fees
Copy trading uses the same swap fee as other swaps in the Moby app. A 0.75% swap fee (minimum $0.90 per swap), plus onchain fees. You get 10% of the Moby fee back in $MOBY on every swap, 20% after your first swap, up to 30% as you climb tiers.

Is copy trading profitable in crypto?
It can lose money as easily as make it. You trade after the wallet you copy, often at a worse price, and a wallet's past results do not predict its next trade. Use a small size and rules you set. No tool can promise a gain. Crypto is risky and you can lose what you trade. Copying a wallet does not copy its results. Past performance does not predict future results.
Can you make $100 a day copy trading crypto?

Are crypto copy trading bots legal?
Copy trading is a common feature in many crypto apps. This is not legal advice. Following a public Solana wallet uses data that is already public onchain. Anyone can view those trades on Solana Explorer. Whether that fits the rules where you live is your own check.
