DeepSeek Harness (dsh) is DeepSeek's open-source, plugin-based agent runtime with a long-context memory model: run it locally, add the Moby MCP, and scan the market on a schedule.
About
DeepSeek Harness (dsh) is an open-source (MIT) agent runtime from DeepSeek AI, built on an everything-is-a-plugin architecture over Cordis. npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web starts a local Web UI at http://127.0.0.1:3080; models are set under Settings, Models with a DeepSeek API key (other OpenAI-compatible endpoints work too). Plugins cover an MCP client, a scheduler, skills, subagents, a sandbox and a browser. It is a developer preview and the project warns that releases will break compatibility.
What it adds to Moby. A long-context runtime: a scan keeps the whole session in context (about 1,200,000 tokens per scan on DeepSeek V4.1) instead of starting clean, so the agent remembers what it saw an hour ago without re-reading it. That memory costs more per scan than a stateless harness, which is why the recommended cadence is every 10 minutes; the cost table on this page has the monthly numbers per cadence.
How to pair it. Start the Web UI, enter a DeepSeek API key, add the Moby MCP server with your agent key, and schedule the scan (every 10 minutes, compare my watchlist against Moby's smart-money pulse and flag changes). Trades go through the Moby MCP. You set your agent's limits on max per trade, daily buy volume and market-cap range from the Moby app, and Moby checks them server-side on every buy your agent makes.
What it does not do. It has no market data of its own: everything it knows about a token comes from the Moby MCP. It does not hold your funds; the agent wallet stays in Moby. It is a preview: pin the version you tested before leaving it to run unattended.
What's inside this harness
- Everything is a plugin: an agent runtime built on Cordis, every capability is a swappable package
- `npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web` starts a local Web UI at http://127.0.0.1:3080
- Models under Settings, Models: a DeepSeek API key, or other OpenAI-compatible endpoints
- Plugins for an MCP client, a scheduler, skills, subagents, a sandbox and a browser
- Long-context memory model: about 1,200,000 tokens a scan on DeepSeek V4.1; recommended every 10 minutes
- Developer preview: the project warns releases will break compatibility
- MIT licensed; run from npm or from a source checkout with pnpm
Install steps
Third-party code: Moby does not audit or control it. Read the source before you run it.
- With Node.js installed:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh webopens the Web UI at http://127.0.0.1:3080 - Settings, Models: enter a DeepSeek API key from https://platform.deepseek.com/ and pick DeepSeek V4.1.
- Add the Moby MCP server
https://mcp.moby.win/mcpwith the headerAuthorization: Bearer <your moby_agent_ key>(key: Moby app, Agent tab, Connect, Create my key; see https://moby.win/agents); the docs are at https://deepseek-harness.github.io/deepseek-harness/ - Ask:
Every 10 minutes, compare my Moby watchlist against the smart-money pulse and flag what changed.

How it works with Moby
DeepSeek Harness works on its own. With Moby your agent can also trade on what it finds.
- Set up AI Trading
In the Moby app: create your agent and fund its Solana wallet.
Get the app - Connect Moby MCP
Whale, KOL and smart-money data, plus buy, sell, SL and TP from the agent wallet.
View Moby MCP - Install DeepSeek Harness
It runs your model against Moby's onchain data on a schedule and trades inside your Guardrails.
