About

TA-Lib is the long-standing technical-analysis library behind many trading tools, and this is its official Python wrapper. It computes more than 150 indicators (moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, ATR, ADX and more) and recognizes candlestick patterns on plain arrays or pandas data.

What it adds to Moby. Exact, repeatable indicator values. Language models are poor at arithmetic on long price series. When your agent says a token is oversold, TA-Lib lets it compute RSI from the real candles. ATR sizes a stop-loss to a token's actual volatility.

How to pair it. Pull candles with get_token_ohlcv, compute the indicators your strategy uses, and quote the numbers in the trade rationale next to Moby's holder and smart-money checks. Use ATR to suggest stop and take-profit levels for Moby orders. Moby returns candles newest-first; reverse them before you feed them in.

What it does not do. Indicators describe past price only, and on thin, young tokens they are noise. It does not trade.

Install

Third-party code: Moby does not audit or control it. Read the source before you run it.

  1. python -m pip install TA-Lib; the wheels for macOS, Linux and Windows include the C library.
  2. On other platforms, build from source as the README describes: https://github.com/TA-Lib/ta-lib-python
  3. Ask: *"Compute RSI(14), MACD and ATR(14) on <token>'s hourly candles from get_token_ohlcv, and suggest a stop-loss 2 ATR below the price."*
